Lots of people with spinal cord injury feel depressed sometimes

Lots of people get very sad when they are sick. People can also get sad when they have been hurt. When you are very sad for a long time, that is depression, or feeling depressed.

Experts say that about one out of three people with spinal cord injuries feel depressed sometimes. Twenty people with spinal cord injuries helped with this project. About 12 of them said they felt depressed at one time or another.
