Wheelchair Ramp

Ramps help to make buildings accessible

Being able to move around a place easily is called accessibility (ak-SESS-uh-BILL-uh-tee). A law called the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (o, en EspaƱol, "La Ley para Personas con Discapacidades") helps.

The ADA makes sure that places are easier for people with disabilities to use. The ADA is for places like schools, stores and movie theatres. Ramps help accessibility. Big bathrooms with grab bars help accessibility.
